Toni was born on January 24, 1962 and graduated with his Higher National Diploma in Painting from the Auchi School of Art and Design
Polytechnic in 1983.
He worked for African Guardian magazine as an illustrator before moving into full-time workshop practice.
Toni draws inspiration from the work of Vincent Van Gogh early on and his work is among those with the richest palette in the school. His favorite subjects are crowded market scenes and rooftops with a lot of movement, done in heavy knife impasto, a technique and style of painting that has made his works acceptable to a wide audience.
He has participated in several group exhibitions, including Accenture Nigeria, Asilah Forum Foundation Morocco and the Yacine-Dakar gallery. His works are part of numerous private and public collections.
