NOUVELLE EXPOSITION À CAROUGE
ART - GENEVA
"En dix années de développement et de consolidation continus, artgenève a su établir dans l’arc lémanique un salon d’art contemporain et d’art moderne de première qualité qui rencontre un écho international.
artgenève accueille des galeries internationales et consacre aussi une large place à des collections institutionnelles et privées ainsi qu’à des espaces indépendants et des commissaires d’exposition, convaincu du dynamisme qui peut naître du dialogue entre galeries et institutions.
La dixième édition du salon aura lieu en janvier 2022."
Japanese Contemporary Art
Top ten contemporary artists.
"Compared with artists in neighboring Asian countries, Japanese artists, it is often said, tend to cultivate their creativity within a closed (and relatively smaller) ecosystem. Working under social oppression and stagnation, Japanese artists have developed distinctive art scenes across the country.
While Japanese contemporary art—especially from the post-war period—has attracted attention around the world and has been researched and contextualized within global art history and international exhibitions, it seems that the recent narratives are still limited. The spotlight is frequently placed on only six “star artists”—
Yayoi Kusama, Lee Ufan, Tatsuo Miyajima, Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nar and Hiroshi Sugimoto — who are successful internationally (and are currently celebrated in a show at Mori Art Museum in Tokyo). Therefore, the following list, while still failing to cover many prominent artistic practices, is intended to sketch out divergent Japanese streams of contemporary art." Artsy

ART PARIS 2021
"The First Modern and Contemporary Art Fair to Take Up Residence in the Grand Palais Éphémère on the Champ-de-Mars
After being the first art fair in the world to open its doors in September 2020 after lockdown restrictions ended, Art Paris will also be the first art fair to take up residence in the Grand Palais Éphémère on the Champ-de-Mars from 9 to 12 September 2021. Designed by reknown architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, this spectacular temporary structure which is situated in front of the École Militaire and close to the Eiffel Tower, will host events scheduled at the Grand Palais until the building reopens for the Olympic Games in 2024.
Art Paris has established itself as a major art fair for modern and contemporary art. This forthcoming edition will bring together 141 galleries from over twenty countries, displaying art spanning post-war to the contemporary period. Whilst Art Paris is a place for discovery, its distinctive feature is a special emphasis on the European scene combined with the exploration of new horizons of international creative hubs in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Regional and cosmopolitan, the 2021 edition counts 38% of new participants and is marked by the arrival of leading international galleries including Almine Rech, Continua, Massimo de Carlo, Lelong & Co, Kamel Mennour, Perrotin and Thaddaeus Ropac."
